''Bright and Breezy'' is an album by jazz pianist Red Garland and his trio, recorded in 1961 and released the same year on Jazzland as JLP 48.〔(At JazzDisco )〕 Sam Jones was the trio's bassist for two years to date (following Paul Chambers). Art Taylor who played drums in the Red Garland Trio since 1956 was replaced by Charlie Persip. This was the first of four subsequent recordings (July 1961–March 1962) by Garland for the Riverside subsidiary label that all took place at the Plaza Sound Studios in New York City. Garlands studio sessions for Prestige had all been recorded by Rudy Van Gelder in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey. The producer was now Orrin Keepnews.
